Mr. David Findlay is a Professional Technologist (P.Tech. Eng.) with a P-Tech stamp in the disciplines of electrical engineering and control system design. Mr. Findlay’s focus has been on designing control system migrations and implementation for oil sands commercial development. He has experience in managing all aspects of a project. He has also designed integrated circuits for digital, analog, and industrial electronics. Mr. Findlay has designed and audited business and industry networks for security compliance. He has managed many complex and challenging projects with great success, including complete control system upgrades online without any disruption. He is also a certified instructor and has taught a variety of classes at SAIT including PLC programming, DCS programming, integrated electrical circuit design, and DeltaV implementation.
