About David Zimmerman

An experienced investment professional with more than eight years of commercial real estate experience. I started my career in real estate after graduating from Virginia Tech in 2008 with a degree in Finance. I currently work at CBRE Capital Markets in the Debt & Structured Finance group and am based in in Nashville, TN. In this role, I am involved in the production, underwriting, and closing of commercial real estate debt/equity through life insurance companies, conduits, banks, and the GSEs.I started my career at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company, a subsidiary of Prudential Financial, Inc, and was based in the DC metro region during my tenure. In my time at PMCC, I reviewed $9 billion in financing requests nationwide and participated in the origination of more than $750 million in closed commercial mortgage production on behalf of the following lending platforms: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS, Prudential\'s General Account, and PMCC\'s balance sheet. My role was specifically focused on the origination of mortgages for stabilized, pre-stabilized, and to-be-constructed multifamily communities. In this role, I also participated heavily in the underwriting, closing, loan document negotiation, and securitization aspects of the business.
