ABOUT DAVID ZAFFT

I drive growth for PE-backed firms and Fortune 500 clients through expert finance, accounting, and technology initiatives as part of industry leaders including Organics Management, Aprio and Ernst & Young.As CFO of PE-backed Organics Management, I quickly increased revenue. while also increasing EBITDA and doubling cash flow. I introduced key system improvements, including ERP programs and technology upgrades, optimizing accounting, finance, billing, accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR), reporting, and financial analysis. I served as a subject matter expert in the budgeting and forecasting process across our 5 divisions, establishing revenue/sales, gross margin, operating expenses, balance sheet, cash flow, and capital expenditure/allocation objectives.I honed my financial expertise through roles as Partner with Aprio LLP (a Top 25 business advisory and accounting firm) and 13+ years of leadership experience with EY, working on transactions varying in size from $25M to $15B with expertise in M&A, joint ventures, and collaboration agreements. I served as a strategic advisor to CFOs and world-class firms including General Electric, Eastman Chemical, and UPS with healthcare, industrial, chemical, transportation, technology, logistics, and consumer products expertise.Throughout my career, I have regularly cultivated trust with internal and external stakeholders, including C-Suite leaders, boards, lenders, and other advisors. I am proud to strengthen the region and community that I live in through service, serving as a board member for the Atlanta Track Club (2nd largest track club in the US). I also consistently grow my skills with an MBA from the top-ranked Olin School of Business (Washington University in St. Louis) and earning Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certifications.
