ABOUT DAVID WELDON

I am presently employed by Marathon Electrical Contractors and hold the position of Division Manager-International.I previously was Senior Project Manager where my responsibilities were to manage all aspects of the electrical construction process. As part of these duties, I was to ensure the project is installed as per contract documents and that the project budget is maintained. I also provide project support to other project managers as needed.I was previously employed by B.L. Harbert International as the Project Electrical Engineer for the New Embassy Compound in Rangoon, Burma. My duties were to ensure proper project installation and completion of all electrical related works on schedule and under budget. I also handled the processing of all budgets, submittals, purchase orders and change orders as well as direct instruction to the field by supplying coordinated shop drawings. The staff I managed consisted of 3 engineers, one electrical superintendent, six field engineers and 40 electricians.I was previously employed by BLHI Birmingham as an electrical coordinator. I have bid numerous projects in excess of 4 million (electrical portion) and have provided project support for other projects to ensure the projects success, under budget and on time.I worked previously as a consulting electrical engineer. My duties included design of power, lighting and auxiliary systems in commercial, light industrial and high-end residential projects. Past projects that I have designed are as follows: HVAC additions and alterations to large commercial buildings, lighting design for the Birmingham Airport Authority, major service calculations and load studies for Ramsay High School, one large multi-story residential house in excess of square feet, tenant fit-up for the Daniel Building, a grounding system for WBWG television studio, design of the Dogwood Festival (a square feet retail sales area),
