About David W.

I am a technology professional with a proven, multi-year background in data engineering, data architecture and data analysis at scale. After a decade of working in conventional consumer- and business-facing tech, I decided it was finally time to commit my work to something more meaningful: climate. Having had a longstanding personal interest in climate change, climate science and energy, in the the fall of 2024, I joined the 12-week Climatebase Fellowship in order to hone my understanding of the state of the art in climate knowledge and to accelerate my transition into a climate career. With the Fellowship now completed, I want to use my data expertise to help better understand climate risk, climate risk mitigation and the ongoing energy transition. I am also passionate about biodiversity preservation on the lands and in the waters.
