The main duties of the role consist of-• Testing of the Cash Equity Execution applications across different markers and various business streams such as High Touch, Low Touch, Order management systems, Algo trading and market gateways• Manual Testing applications and functionality in isolation and also front-to-back workflow testing• Writing of test cases. Writing of documentation and posting this onto confluence for other teams members to use. Run knowledge transfer sessions with team members • Working closely with the Front Office developers and support teams on a day-to-day basis• Release preparation alongside PM’s, Developers and Support Manager’s to meet tight business deadlines• Tracking of QA Jira’s and the QA task list.• Proactively manage the testing and raise issues quickly to the IT team (BA/DEV) and users.• Daily use of Unix/Linux/Shell/ to check logs, stop and start instances, etc. Checking FIX messages to make sure they contain the relevant tags.
