I am currently a Facilities Project Architect working on multiple projects to ensure they are in compliance with latest Codes and Accessibility Requirements. In addition I lead and manage my own projects from design through construction, engaging Users and stakeholders early in the process and keeping them informed as the project evolves. At points I manage upwards of 10 projects in various stages design and construction, providing direction to Consultant Architects, Engineers, and Contractors.I help define scope and requirements and provide input and guidance to ensure projects are in compliance with company standards and user requirements. It’s my job to understand the Users budget, goals, requirements, and authorize expenditures within budget. Most importantly I am responsible to ensure projects are completed on schedule, minimize risks to the Users as well as our company, and provide cost controls to help minimize cost overruns.

David Vazquez is an architect with over a decade of design experience in various project typologies, working from design, construction, and the client side. Throughout his career David’s leadership and technical abilities have helped him resolve the challenges encountered on large and complex projects.David’s notable projects include the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center ARTIC, the Utah Valley Medical Center Replacement Hospital and Outpatient Clinic in Provo Utah, Kaiser Permanente Regional Lab Expansion in Ontario, the California Animal Health and Food Safety Lab in Tulare, and the Westfield TBIT Retail and Concessions at LAX. David spent the past year serving as the BIM Leader for the Delta 2017 Project. David’s technical knowledge and expertise in Building Information Modeling helped resolve the various technical challenges for this project and helped Delta 2017 Team successfully move close to 30 Airlines at LAX. David participated in the Gensler LA BIM Leadership Group and served as Project Architect in Gensler LA’s Aviation and Transportation Studio leading smaller Delta Projects and to assist with Systems Coordination on the larger Delta 2023 Projects.Most recently David is working on the client side as a Facilities Project Architect for a Defense and Space Company, working on multiple projects to ensure they are in compliance with latest Codes and Accessibility Requirements.
