ABOUT DAVID TUFFERY
I am a highly motivated electrical engineer with 11 years experience in the power sector working for National Grid Electricity Distribution (formally WPD). I hold a 1st class Masters in Electrical and Electronic from Cardiff university. I have a genuine passion for power system analysis through years of working in the Primary System Design, Network Strategy and DSO teams at NGED. In these roles I gained a detailed understanding of power system analysis, customer connections and strategic investment. I have experience with PSSE, IPSA and a working understanding of Power Factory. I have a proven track record of process development, particularly around python automation to improve accuracy and speed of power system assessments. After 7 years of being a power system engineer, I took the opportunity to move into the DSO Network Modelling and Whole System manager at NGED. In this role I am responsible for proactively managing the maintenance and development of NGED\'s EHV power system models. I am also in charge of the Statement of Works activity and key regulatory submissions to both Ofgem and NGESO.I would describe myself as a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with people to solve complex power system challenges and deliver excellent service internally and to our end customers.
