ABOUT DAVID THURLEY

With extensive experience in the recruitment industry, most recently as a Corporate | National | Key Account Director and previously as a Regional | Operations Manager, I have a strong track record of driving strategic account growth, operational efficiency, and delivering innovative staffing solutions. Experienced within FMCG, high volume Food Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial, Logistics, Event Contract Catering, and earlier in my career, Event Management, organising large scale national Consumer Events. This experience has provided me with the expertise to be a versatile leader managing and delivering complex workforce solutions tailored to customer needs.As Corporate Account Director at Gi Group UK, I was accountable for an annual turnover of £50 million, achieving a 20% increase in revenue and a 12% uplift in gross profit. Through successfully driving organic growth in core services, collaborating with internal sales teams and operational stakeholders, cross selling additional service lines, I had expanded client portfolios to 47 locations across the UK and mainland Europe. Experienced as project lead for customer tenders, interim service presentations, contract negotiations and management of service level agreements (SLAs) and KPI reporting, ensured performance targets were measured and consistently met. Through periodic client reviews, I have driven innovation and value add solutions to strengthened customer partnerships and improve outcomes.As an elected member of the Association of Labour Providers Members Council and as a member of the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) Labour User and Labour Provider Liaison Group, I have contributed to industry best practices and policy discussions. Additionally, as lead for Stronger Together and the implementation of the Responsible Recruitment Toolkit, I was able to reinforce compliance principles and commitment to ethical recruitment practices.
