I have over 35 years experience working as an Engineering and Transportation Consultant in UK, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand and Qatar. Initially a Highways Engineer I have worked in the Highways, Rail and Structures areas of the business. Since 1998 I have worked in the Project and Programme management and delivery of IT and Highways Technology projects. I am part of Arcadis\' UK senior team as Senior Technical Director, ITS and Technology in our Highways Sector. For the past 7 years I have been seconded part time into National Highways\'(previously Highways England\'s) Smart Motorways Programme providing technology design assurance and liaison with Digital Services (previously Information and Technology Directorate).
