About David Thomas

Mr. Thomas has over 30 years experience in the engineering and management fields through both military and contractor support positions. With an undergraduate in Aerospace Engineering and a graduate degree in Operations Research, he has applied his analytic and systems engineering skills to provide objective evaluations to decision-makers. During his career, he has held positions as a Flight Test Engineer, Chief of F-15 Development System Safety, Operational Tester, and System Evaluator. As a military Flight Test Engineer at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, he planned and conducted developmental flight tests on F-15 engine upgrades and overall aircraft performance. In addition, he managed numerous special projects for AFFTC customers. His military career also included assignments as an Intelligence Analyst, Test Manager and System Safety Engineer. As a civilian contractor, Mr. Thomas continued his work in the T&E field working with the US Marine Corps. He managed the test planning and execution of Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Service Life Extension Program, conducted evaluations of vehicle camouflage systems and thermal sight systems. Most recently, Mr. Thomas worked in support of the Marine Corps Operational Test and Evaluation Activity (MCOTEA), where he was instrumental in creating the MCOTEA Capabilities-Based Testing methodology. In addition, his efforts as Senior Test Manager for the MRAP Operational Test earned him recognition as part of the NDIA Test Team of the Year for 2008. As Managing Partner of RoundTable Defense, LLC Mr. Thomas is applied his extensive experience in support of the evaluation of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle Program. His recent work includes conducting safety and hazard analysis in support of PEO Land Systems and the Marine Corps Rapid Capabilities Office (MCRCO).
