About David Thomas

I realized at an early age I wanted a future in combining entrepreneurship and agriculture. When we were young, my brothers and I would sell fruits and vegetables from our backyard garden at a stand my father set up on the sidewalk in front of our house in rural Ohio. Since then I have started businesses or helped start and run businesses for others primarily in the foodservice industry. My brother Gary, a San Francisco based chef and I founded Off The Farm Foods, Inc. in 2009 with the goal of showcasing the bounty of regional agriculture in nutritional products. We set out on a quest to make the best whole food based energy and protein bars on the planet. We operate from a state licensed and inspected sanitary commercial kitchen and packaging facility in Redding California. We have great determination to promote sustainable agriculture in a business model that makes an impact in people\'s lives. With an amazing team of food service professionals and independent sales representatives we sell our super premium products throughout the U.S. directly to specialty retailers and consumers.Specialties: gourmet food, natural food, specialty food, sustainability, entrepreneurship.
