Develops technical and policy analyses and tools to support state policymakers, local governments, and utility commissions as they develop, implement, and assess energy policies that impact human health and the environment.• Spearheading a renewed EPA initiative to work with utility commissions and their staff across the country by providing data, analysis, and technical assistance to support their efforts to provide utility customers with environmentally sustainable and affordable energy.• Engage state regulators nationwide as the EPA’s representative on the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) Staff Subcommittee on Energy Resources and the Environment.• Conducts information exchanges and discussions with states and commissions on the utilization of metrics for equity, health, and emissions in performance-based regulation (PBR) as the EPA representative on NARUC’s PBR Working Group.• Authored a primer and hosted a webinar for state and local policymakers on using renewable energy certificates (RECs) to achieve local environmental goals.• Consulted on the drafting of the second edition of the public health benefits-per-kWh (BPK) technical report detailing the EPA developed values that monetize the public health benefits of investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy.• Hosted a national webinar on the EPA’s updated BPK values, presenting the methodology, efficacy, and use of the values. • Participated in the Alliance to Save Energy (ASE) Active Efficiency Collaborative Beneficial Electrification (BE) Working Group which produced a report on the value and opportunities of BE.
