   Analyze each loan file, with supporting documentation, for accuracy and totality• Assess not only risk from a lender perspective but benefit in terms of what’s best for the consumer• Inspect each file to make sure the 4Cs (Credit, Capacity, Collateral, Capital) are satisfied and sufficient• Review the URAR and NOV to insure it meets VA minimum property requirements as well as lender overlays• Review and approve documentation (termite report, water test, etc.) to satisfy NOV conditions• Review FHA mortgage applications under the supervision of DE underwriter• Meticulously examine all documents within a loan file to assess credit, collateral, and capacity for each individual applicant and to ensure all HUD Regulations were met• Underwrite appraisals to ensure properties meet HUD/FNMA and lender-specific requirements• Review appraisal valuations to verify property values are justified• Assess both risk for the lender and benefit for the borrower to ensure borrowers are receiving the best possible terms and making sure the loans perform for the lender• Consider compensating factors for each application where derogatory credit or information exists to decision loans properly and protect the lender as well as the borrower• Collaborate with loan officer and processor to ensure that loans are underwritten in accordance with HUD/FNMA regulations
