About David Sprowl

I have over 30 years of experience in human services, specifically working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. I currently manage the Family Advocacy Programs at the Arc of Indiana. This includes providing resources, information, and advocacy to individuals and families, as well as working with other stakeholders including school systems, social service organizations, service providers and many other entities. I also conduct presentations on a variety of topics, including guardianship and alternatives, the Life Course Framework, SSI benefits, the Indiana Medicaid Waiver program, and Transition/Post-Secondary Educational opportunities. We also follow a \"no-wrong-door\" philosophy, providing information and resources to anyone in need. In my past roles, I coordinated Intake/Admissions process, Outreach, Marketing, and Social Media Marketing/Management for a not-for-profit. Previously coordinated and managed Supported Living Services. Supervised Program Management Staff. Recruitment, interviewing & hiring of Direct Support Professionals. Implemented, coordinated and supervised On-Call Program for residential departments. Coordinated PAC, Respite, Community Habilitation, and Day Service Case Coordination Services. I calso have chaired the Admissions Committee, and provided tours to perspective clients and members of the public, and provided information to individuals, families, and the general public about the supports and services provided by the agency. Worked with various stakeholders, including state agencies, to ensure quality services were provided.
