About David Smith
After becoming a licensed pharmacist, David began his career in retail pharmacy, where he worked for three years, followed by two years in hospital pharmacy and seven years as a home IV infusion pharmacist. Building on these experiences, he embraced a new challenge when offered the opportunity to manage a sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacy in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.Over the next seven years, David successfully grew the pharmacy from 7 employees to 35, leading the business through significant expansion. During this time, he played a key role in converting the pharmacy from a 503A facility to a 503B Outsourcing Facility, gaining specialized expertise in regulatory compliance, operations, and quality management.This experience inspired him to launch his own consulting venture, Prestige Pharmacy Outsourcing Advisors, LLC, providing strategic guidance to compounding pharmacies.In August 2023, David took a leap of faith and joined Revelation Pharma as Director of Pharmacy Operations, where he oversees the management of a network of 503A and 503B pharmacies across the country.
