Architected, trained, and tested deep-learning segmentation models to identify shipwrecks using multibeam sonar data. Wrote Python scripts to evaluate segmentation mask accuracy by calculating F1 and IoU scores, and Bash scripts to automate compilation; also improved existing scripts to normalize raster layers using 50% less memory. Enhanced QGIS plugin to handle 4 new deep-learning architectures, process 20x larger rasters, and increase mean IoU.
