IT development and delivery manager with over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry. I have extensive experience of managing and leading development teams both remote and office based, in small to medium teams in Java.Net, PHP, Oracle and SQL Server developments in mainly Amazon Web Services environments using a mixture of Waterfall and Agile. Along with managing work and projects, I also perform regular appraisals, help set goals, perform salary reviews, coach, identify talent (including recruitment) and deal with personal issues. I have both grown and nurtured teams, retaining the best staff and created excellent working environments, allowing the developers to flourish and have always maintained exceptionally low levels of attrition.I have training in ITIL, Prince2, Agile and Waterfall methodologies. I have also been responsible for gaining both ISO27001 and ISO9001 accreditation in a number of organisations.I spent around 10 years previously as a developer, starting with COBOL at Airtours, before moving to Oracle (PL/SQL, reports, forms and Designer) working my way to team lead.I work collaboratively with senior management, technical teams and users. I focus on building teams and implementing business goals, technical enhancements and process improvements. I manage work from inception, through to development, implementation and support.
