EnerSys are the largest industrial battery manufacturer in the World. I manage our business unit supplying Hawker batteries into land defence applications in EMEA. We have sold over three million Hawker ARMASAFE 6T/AGM batteries into this sector over the years for over forty allied nations. EnerSys’ unique Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL), VRLA, AGM design is the foundation of this success providing clear operational advantages and total cost of ownership benefits. We augment this offering with battery monitoring solutions that provide vehicle commanders with essential information for decision making, increasing user safety and further improving battery life. With our acquisition of Bren-Tronics in 2024, we have added cutting edge Lithium-Ion solutions for both dismounted soldier applications and a MIL-PRF compliant Lithium 6T format battery that can be deployed in a ground breaking hybrid TPPL/Li-Ion configuration with ARMASAFE for vehicles. As well as this, we offer our customers long term security and resilience of supply through our Lead Acid battery plants in the UK and France and also through our investment in a Lithium-Ion cell manufacturing Gigafactory in the USA, partly funded by the US DOE and with a dedicated production line for the US DOD.
