About David Sixon

I work for Eastman Chemical Company, as a Chemical Engineer at the Kingsport, Tennessee plant site. During my undergraduate degree, I completed a three-term Co-Op with Eastman, where I explored chemical engineering roles in manufacturing, technical support, and research/development. Throughout my Co-Op, I strengthened skills in safety management, process control design, and technical communication.With a Bachelor\'s Degree in Chemical Engineering (with a minor in Business Economics and a concentration in Chemical Engineering Research) from Purdue University, I bring a strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, teamwork, and industrial context. My undergraduate research focus was in process control for pharmaceutical manufacturing and hybrid modeling using machine learning. These research projects resulted in a first authorship on a conference paper and secondary authorships on several journal papers.
