About David Shema

David Shema is a highly respected and energetic business professional with 20+ years of successful Hospitality Design experience. Mr. Shema joined Dougall Design Associates in 2002 coming from a background in Architecture. He possesses a natural ability to quickly identify needs, then fulfills them. After only six months working on projects in Las Vegas Mr. Shema was assigned the responsibility of overseeing the execution of the company’s design efforts in the field at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort.Upon his return to California, Mr. Shema was recognized by senior designers for his natural leadership skills and dedication to his work. He took on the management and coordination roles of some of the company’s largest projects, most notably Echelon, the large-scale ultra-luxury destination from Boyd Gaming.In 2008 the company was restructured into the current partnership of Shema Dougall Design Associates. In 2011, Mr. Shema was appointed President formally establishing his role directing the design studio and business development.
