Implementation of the assigned portfolio of studies, which includes but is not limited to IRB applications and related forms, data collection forms, patient screening, and enrollment, verification of investigative procedures to accomplish research goals, and preparation of reports Entered study and/or research participant data into the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) as applicable - PnCore, Medconnect Assists and/or responsible for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and other related regulatory forms (e.g, radiation safety); coordinates essential regulatory documents and submits timely and accurate regulatory documents to the sponsor as applicable; supports the safety of clinical research participants; ensures the appropriate delegation of study related tasks (i.e, Delegation of Authority) Participates in the informed consent process of research participants Pre-screening of potential research participants to determine their initial eligibility and interest in a research study and adhering to important guidelines to protect the privacy of the patient; screen, recruit, and enroll research participants Maintains study source documents (e.g, surgical reports, pathology reports, medical history); accurately completes and maintains case report forms; addresses all queries and clarifications; documents written and verbal communication with study contacts (e.g, research participant, sponsor, laboratory); completes and submits case report forms. Ensures proper collection, processing, and shipment of biospecimens (e.g, centrifuge, freezing, refrigeration); maintains current Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training regarding. ABOUT DAVID SEEH
David Seeh is a Master’s Graduate in Epidemiology from Georgetown University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences – Washington DC, and currently working at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Centre as a Clinical Research Coordinator. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health from Kenyatta University – Kenya. David is passionate about cancer research, including addressing cancer health disparity among the minority population in the USA. David has five years of experience working as a data manager in HIV research in collaboration with the University of Washington Global Health Program. David\'s unique passion for health research developed during his five years of work experience as a research assistant in a collaborative study at the University of Washington, Kenyatta National Hospital, and The University of Nairobi. He was involved in data collection and analysis, review of standard operating procedures, case report forms, conducting training for healthcare providers, conducting continuous quality improvements, safe sex practices, testing for HIV, adherence to HIV drugs, and condom distribution, among many other activities. David has two years experienced in literature searches, statistical programming, and modeling (Regression analysis) using SAS and R software. David\'s previous project involved examining the effects of Exercise, Physical Activity on the development of Periodontal Disease among Minority Populations and patients. What drives him most is to find health solutions through data and solve them with modern technology. To achieve this, David focuses on key results, building amazing teams, and quickly adapting to new insights while learning statistical analysis software. David has worked as an Oral Health Scholar and did his internship at Cancer Research Education Program (C-REP), a collaborative program between Georgetown University and Howard University. He was involved in analyzing data on knowledge of oral cancer risk factors among the black community from a previous study conducted by the Georgetown University Lombardi Cancer Centre. David is also a member of the American Association for Cancer Research – ACCR. David enjoys playing chess, meeting new people, and sharing the latest trends.
