Sky Quarry was founded to attack the problem created by the waste stream of used asphalt shingles.Sky Quarry is a true green R3 (recycle, reuse, reduce) clean technology company – developing the science, engineering the technology, which will bring in a new era of sustainable recycle and reuse of asphalt shingle waste material and environmentally clean oil (ECO) production. While Sky Quarry Inc. was originally formed to address the recycle and reuse of the over 13 million tons of waste asphalt shingles that are sent to landfills annually, to recycle the waste asphalt material (RAS) – the technology provides inroads into multiple sectors in need of cost effective and production efficient technology. Sky Quarry acquired the assets and technology of the 2020 Resources facility (previously US Oil Sands) in Utah, USA, that has the current production capacity of barrels per day. Sky Quarry believes that this opportunity provides both value in terms of the investment and multi-decade trans-sectorial financial returns.February 2023 - Sky Quarry acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of the Foreland Refinery in Nevada. The Refinery is now a wholly owned and directly controlled subsidiary of Sky Quarry.The refinery produces petroleum products from heavy oil sources with historical production of approximately barrels per year and this capacity can significantly increase. The Eagle Springs Refinery provides a unique opportunity to integrate future waste to energy oil production from waste asphalt shingles into high demand sustainable oil products. The refinery’s ability to produce diesel, Napha, VGO (vacuum gas oil) and liquid asphalt paving oil, will help us increase the capacity in which we can blend and market our future sustainable waste to energy oil production at our PR Spring extraction facility.
