ABOUT DAVID SCHULD
David Schuld has directly managed various disaster responses, political crises, and homeland security-related projects over the past fifteen years. He has a wide spectrum of experience including the overall management of security and threat management activities for a major homeland security/emergency management consulting firm, which includes preparedness activities related to the integrated responses to an active threat, and creating innovative exercises and games for intelligence and information sharing, counter terrorism, crisis management, and other homeland security related fields. In February 2025, David was appointed as Director of Salt Lake County Government Emergency Management.David\'s work in politics and crisis operations has spanned continents. At 19, he worked on the peace process in Northern Ireland and then advised members of the European Parliament in Brussels on transatlantic relations and anti-piracy operations off the Horn of Africa. Upon his return home to the U.S, he advised a member of the U.S. House of Representatives on defense, veterans, and homeland security issues. He then served as an adviser to the British Army. David also served as that British Government’s Crisis Management Adviser, where he coordinated responses of global political crises and natural disasters from the British Embassy in Washington, DC.
