A dedicated professional with 14 years’ experience serving on nuclear submarines, 4 years within the rail industry and now working within the natural gas and utilities sector. A competent mechanical engineer with drive, enthusiasm and natural leadership ability, having demonstrated a high level of performance and expertise in all aspects of mechanical maintenance and maintenance management in a variety of appointments. A capable and experienced operator with an extensive working knowledge of mechanical and electrical system operations in a highly stressful, commissioning and production environment.• In depth knowledge and experience of using, repairing and maintaining various high and low pressure Steam, Air, Hydraulic, Fluid systems and rotating machinery, Pumps, Compressors, Pipework and Compound Turbines.• Experienced in electrical wiring and maintenance techniques including fault diagnosis.• Experienced in maintenance techniques, tools and principals involved in the production of technical maintenance plans, schematic drawings and system drawings.• Absorbing information and identifying practical, pragmatic solutions with alternatives, using source technical documentation to brief senior personnel (both technical and non-technical). • An instinctive communicator with effective communication skills and the aptitude to work effectively, both as a team member and as an individual. • Manage engineering activities to stringent Quality Assurance standards with the ability to adapt to ever changing scenarios coping well under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines.• In-depth knowledge and experience of safe systems of work involved with the maintenance and operation of a submarine nuclear power plant and associated systems.
