The criminal justice adjunct faculty member is responsible for preparing and delivering relevant and current curriculum using a variety of teaching methods and tools, along with ensuring students achieve and demonstrate mastery of stated learning objectives. • Responsible for developing and managing the class syllabus and ensuring the syllabus meets department and college standards• Meets with academic chair to develop curriculum• Plans and creates lectures, in-class discussions and assignments• Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies in order to engage students, including cooperative and experiential learning • Administer evaluations of student performance based on course deliverables and course rubrics• Assesses grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments and examinations• Maintains records of student attendance, involvement, and progress• Advises students on how to be successful in class
