ABOUT DAVID RADERMACHER

More than fourteen years at E.ON have shown me that sustainability is shaped by everyday choices: on rooftops, in control rooms, and in all the technical and regulatory steps that make cleaner energy work in practice. I have a strong background in the energy business, developing projects, shaping strategies, and finding the right balance between economic sense and environmental responsibility. Over time, that balance became the center of my work. As Vice President at E.ON, I hold strategic responsibility for sustainability. My work connects operational realities with long-term decisions, aligning networks, customer solutions, and investments to help reduce emissions while keeping energy reliable and affordable. I aim to keep strategy practical: clear goals, transparent trade-offs, and measurable progress. Sustainability to me is not a separate agenda. It’s part of how a company grows. The energy transition doesn’t happen alongside the business; it happens within it. Circularity plays a key role. It is a business case in itself. One that creates value, reduces resource use and strengthens resilience. The same holds true for climate and environmental protection: they only work if they are measurable, economically sound and embedded in daily decisions. I share reflections and practical perspectives on how companies can move from ambition to implementation, and how the energy transition can become not just cleaner but smarter and more resilient.
