Currently spending my days improving the DWP Mobile Solution Service I brought from initial ‘discovery’ into the live running of iOS devices (plus 3k more after Oct) in a highly secure environment. And extending that knowledge and experience to herding the Developer and Engineer MacBook estate. Previously working within the CTO office Enterprise Architecture team. Providing the IT Architecture Compliance and Governance function and assisting with the documentation and standards setting to TOGAF and Archimate. Creating and improving artefacts in the EA, whilst working with users to constantly improve output and content.I\'m taken my pilot from an agile POC to Live Service with 8k devices live and 3k more planned. In the initial ‘Discovery’ phase I went through selecting and trialling Windows & Apple IOS devices alongside Android smartphones and tablets. All controlled by Mobile Device Management platforms: MS Intune, Samsung KNOX, JamF Casper Suite and Airwatch - on premise and cloud SaaS. I have driven the use of Apple Business Programmes like AppleSeed, AppleCare, VPP and DEP / Configurator, and investigated the early adoption of Google\'s enterprise services for our proposed Android and Chromebook devices. I have worked closely with GCHQ/CESG/NCSC and specialists on Mobile Security, IDA and Connectivity tools; all whilst gaining user feedback on application choice to guide and shape the final service delivering at the best cost and with the most beneficial user outcomes. This limited Alpha was used by the top 30 DWP staff: Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and many Senior Civil Servants, and formed the strategic smartphone service for the departments mobile users, which were delivering in rollouts through 2016 and 2017.#morethanjustaphoneAdditionally I\'ve expanded my MDM / EMM knowledge to include setting up the management services for the DWP Apple Mac estate, and running Discovery sessions for customer facing devices.
