About David Polidi

Hello, my name is David, and I am a proud father, devoted husband, and live with a furry creature named Nala (she is a Golden Retriever). I have a Master\'s Degree in School Counselor (M.Ed) from Boston University. I have worked in public schools in Massachusetts as a School Adjustment Counselor and Guidance Counselor. In these roles, I realized that I wasn\'t able to do some of the work I wanted to be doing- helping increase communication and connection within families!​So back to Boston University I went to get another Masters Degree, this time in Social Work (MSW). I got an LICSW, and worked with families in their homes. I went on to be a Supervisor and then, Program Manager, but something was still missing for me.Enter COVID. I did an about face, and took a deep dive into the world of trauma. Entering into this world felt like I was coming home, and healing trauma in clients felt incredibly rewarding to me. I became trained and certified in EMDR, then became a Consultant In Training. And became trained in IFS. Things started intersecting in ways that I never imagined. I even found the wonderful Syzygy Institute which taught the integration of IFS and EMDR.I started working on a podcast, and started working on a website to make all the things that I was learning public for others.
