Duties:• Management and oversight of the Commercial team.• Developing and implementing commercial strategy and processes to drive best value from our contracts.• Strategic commercial interface with Directors to provide advice and recommendations to support continued business improvement.• Lead, shape and monitor all commercial activities, working alongside senior managers to ensure efficient delivery of our investment plans through our contracted operations, promote continuous improvement and ensure departments follow industry best practice.• Lead on the management and resolution of escalated complex contract claims / disputes through negotiation in an efficient, timely and professional manner. • Develop, implement and promote effective strategies for dispute avoidance.• Work closely with Legal Counsel to ensure that our terms and conditions of contract provide an appropriate balance of commercial risk, and ensure that the balance is maintained throughout contract delivery through effective monitoring and controls.

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor (FRICS & MCIArb) with over 20 years of experience working within the construction and energy sectors globally. I have worked for a variety of stakeholders including Contractors, Clients and also as a Consultant in both pre and post contract roles, across a wide range of projects. Having achieved a distinction in my postgraduate degree of Construction Law and Adjudication, I have a strong background in dispute resolution and have provided a number of stakeholders with tailored advice in preparing and defending construction claims.
