About David Patterson

Recently joined the consulting ranks after a 12+ year career at Roka Bioscience as Vice President of Operations and Quality. Have a total of 30 years of experience in a variety of roles in the biotechnology field. Prior to Roka, served as Associate Director of Process Transfer at Gen-Probe, Inc.(now Hologic) responsible for scaling up, transferring, and launching assays. My 10 year tenure at Gen-Probe also included positions as a scientist on the HIV/HCV assay team and manager of Process Support. In addition, held various roles over 8 years at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. Began as a research scientist where earned patents in real-time PCR, carryover prevention methodology, and detection of HIV-1/HCV in the early 90\'s. Completed career at Ortho-Clinical as the Operation\'s Supervisor of the FDA (CBER) approved manufacturing facility for blood screening tests. Received B.S. degree in Biochemistry from the University of California at Riverside.
