Zoo & aquarium professional focusing on animal welfare, institutional operations and strategy, and program leadership. I currently lead a large, diverse team at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden that comprises animal care, animal health and nutrition, animal welfare science, and ambassador animal outreach. I\'ve worked at and have conducted research at multiple AZA-accredited zoos, with projects mostly related to welfare assessment, behavior research, sensory environment evaluation, employee training and culture, and resource/tool development. I believe in the power of zoological organizations to connect people to wildlife and inspire conservation action and am proud to be part of the Cincinnati Zoo team that excels at this every day.
