ABOUT DAVID OAKLEY

For over 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of building my career with Premier Modular, a company that’s been leading the way in the modular and offsite construction space. What started as an opportunity to be part of something innovative quickly became a long-term journey one that’s taken me through a wide variety of roles and experiences, each one shaping the perspective I bring to my work today. Throughout the years, I’ve been lucky enough to see almost every side of the business. From hands-on involvement in offsite manufacturing to managing complex contracts and commercial strategies, I’ve developed a 360-degree understanding of how modular projects come together and more importantly, how they succeed. That broad experience has taught me that while the technology and processes behind modular construction are critical, it’s people who really make the difference. My approach has always been grounded in that belief. Whether I’m working with clients, suppliers, or internal teams, I try to lead with empathy, clarity, and a genuine desire to find the best solution for everyone involved. I’ve learned that staying calm under pressure, listening more than I speak, and making decisions with integrity go a long way not just in delivering great projects, but in building trust and long-term relationships. I’m particularly passionate about driving continuous improvement finding new ways to innovate, streamline, and evolve how we work, without losing sight of the human side of the industry. For me, success means more than just ticking boxes or hitting targets. It’s about creating an environment where people feel supported, where collaboration flows naturally, and where the end result reflects the shared effort and pride of the whole team. Looking ahead, I’m excited about where modular construction is headed. It’s an industry that’s constantly evolving, and I’m committed to staying at the forefront learning, adapting, and doing my part to push the boundaries of what we can achieve through offsite solutions.
