About David Okeefe
Howdy! Following a near forty-year career in the Wire & Cable and Security industry, I retired to Pagosa Springs, CO where my wife Debbie and have had a home for ~ 13 years, and now I\'m offering guided fly fishing trips on “Southern Rockies” trout waters. I have been fly fishing for over 30 years and have introduced and instructed countless folks into the “quiet sport”! Fly fishing is a passion for me (as is teaching) and I have pursued many different quarry with fly-gear.Everything from small pan-fish to Mako sharks and Billfish! Most of my personal time on the water has been spent pursuing high-mountain trout – Just like you\'ll be going after here in the Pagosa Springs area (my favorite)! I offer guided trips for lakes, streams and rivers in southern Colorado, including private and trophy waters! Ladies and gentlemen, Recent events have aided me in deciding to retire from industry and embark on my next adventure! I am lucky to have worked alongside some of the best folks in the business and will miss the camaraderie, passion for success and fun we have every day. Many of you know of my passion for fly-fishing and sharing this passion with others via teaching and guiding (Reach out!).and this is one place I\'m headed. The pandemic and then merger with Anixter, set things in motion that created a great \"demarcation\" point for me personally and professionally, allowing retirement to commence. I am blessed to have made my way to this place, both spiritually and physically, along with my wife of 35 years; Debbie and our grown children Kevin & Kerry. I leave an industry and career filled with many successes, wonderful relationships and great times. From the early days of small business (SWW), the journey of building a new national distributor (CSC), and the power of WESCO, a fortune 200 company with great prospects for the future, it has always been about people and the relationships that drive success.
