About David Newsham
I am an undergraduate student at UNC-Chapel hill pursing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). I have great interest in economics, finance, and accounting. After receiving my undergraduate degree, I plan to apply for the Master of Accounting program at UNC-Chapel Hill and begin working towards passing the CPA exams. I have recently worked for the Office of Budgets of Middlesex County New Jersey, where I leveraged my studies in Economics to contribute to various projects. In the future, I plan to continue investing in my commitment to continuous learning and contribute to various causes such as hosting classes for adolescences and adults to increase exposure to pertinent financial material and facilitate informed decisions, setting up scholarship funds for those with a drive to pursue higher education, and much more.

Initiated “Test of 1” controls testing for one of Arch’s mortgage business units to investigate and validate controls were applied and working properly as designed- Updated all mortgage segment workpapers to ensure uniform formatting and current information across business units- Analyzed narratives across several business units in preparation for corresponding client walkthroughs- Participated and engaged in weekly speaker events with the C-suite and other company executives.
