ABOUT DAVID ARDILL
As Head of Trustee and FE Governor Recruitment, I work closely with the organisation\'s CEO and my colleagues across the Senior Leadership Team to drive the strategy, growth, planning and operational delivery of the Trustee and FE Governor Recruitment Services activity across all areas of England, with the latter supporting a number of cases referred by the Department for Education (DfE).I work closely with partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities for recruitment and to source prospective volunteers to take board-level roles in the sector. Recruiting high-calibre business people to trust boards, bringing business acumen, knowledge, experience, critical challenge and strategic thinking from the business sphere into their boardroom is critical to the success of the academies programme.With a strong thread of communication and engagement running through my professional roles, I seek projects that will allow me to work closely with partners, deliver change and help improve standards for myriad sectors of society. Previous roles with British Cycling, parkrun UK and with localised environmental charities have equipped me with a sound basis for a multitude of different work areas.
