Managed the backlog for all engineering changes on HRP products; reduced backlog from 300 to 50 in 12 months- Engineered custom CO2 evaporators, designing RTPF heat exchangers, calculating capacity, pressure drop, designing coil circuiting, sizing nozzles, expansion valves, connection sizes, and creating drawings for the factory- Sized and selected electrical components, including fusing, contactors, disconnects, breakers, wire sizes, and calculated unit spec plate values, MCA and MOPD, for condensing units and unit coolers- Performed electrical calculations for custom SCCR, Short Circuit Current Rating, requests, designing SCCR rated power distribution circuits, for condensing units, in accordance with UL 508- Qualified and implemented new packaging for material cost savings totaling $100k+ annually- Sized and selected shell & tube and coaxial heat exchangers, and compressors, for water-cooled condensing units, for custom requests- Worked with PE structural engineers to evaluate outdoor condensing units in accordance with ASCE 7-16, and local building codes, for specific wind load criteria- Served as a point of contact for regulatory agencies including UL, Underwriters Laboratory, and NSF, National Sanitation Foundation, hosting auditors for annual and quarterly inspections at our facilities, and leading corrective actions to address any non-conformances- Supported prototype builds for various new product development projects, driven by DOE, regulatory updates, for minimum AWEF, and low GWP, initiatives- Coordinated new component testing and qualification for cost reduction and quality improvement projects- Served as a resource for the factory, answering quality and product questions, and performing electrical troubleshooting for factory run tests- Led trainings for peers on the department level, including training on the topics of NSF, SCCR, and water-cooled condensing units.
