ABOUT DAVID MOBLEY
Undergraduate and graduate degrees in Physics, with graduate research focusing on computational models of cooperativity with applications in biophysics. Went on to do postdoctoral work with Ken Dill at UCSF working on free energy techniques based on molecular simulations. Currently I am a faculty member and my work focuses on predicting thermodynamic properties from molecular simulations, with an emphasis on problems relating to pharmaceutical drug discovery. These include transfer free energies, protein-ligand binding, and small molecule solubility prediction.Specialties: Molecular dynamics, free energy calculations, protein-ligand interactions, computational chemistry/biophysics.
