David is experienced in a wide variety of project types including commercial, retail and office. His focus and passion has been the retail sector where he has developed strong working relationships with developers, including Ivanhoe Cambridge, Cadillac Fairview and Oxford Properties. David leads DIALOG’s retail studio and is actively involved in a wide variety of projects. He is principal for the residential high rise development The River in Calgary and Northland Village which is a sq ft office, retail, residential mixed use transit oriented development. David is also one of the principals involved in the Edmonton Arena District mixed use project which includes hotel, high rise residential, with four storey retail podium and 400 car underground parkade.At DIALOG, we’re passionate designers who believe in the power of built form to meaningfully improve the wellbeing of our communities and the environment we all share. Collaborating across studios in Canada and the US, our multi-disciplinary team includes architects, urban planners, interior designers, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, and landscape architects. Our diverse portfolio includes designing for urban vibrancy, transportation, education, healthcare and mixed-use development.

For the past 29 years, David’s focus and passion have been retail. He has developed strong working relationships with several of Canada’s leading retail developers. David has worked on award winning renovations, he has a great eye for what is needed in the retail space, and has been involved in a wide variety of enclosed malls, power centres and redevelopment projects across Canada.
