I have more than two decades of experience in healthcare. I have worked primarily as a Hospitalist in direct patient care in a large academic medical center. During this time, I have been involved in myriad aspects of healthcare including clinical care, multidisciplinary care, medical education, quality of care, patient safety, care management, among others. I also work as a Physician Advisor for Corporate Care Management working directly with payors on reimbursement issues for the hospital system. Having graduated from the CMU program, I anticipate moving more into areas of Hospital Administration, ideally as a Chief Experience Officer or Medical Director, but being balanced with continuing direct patient care. I have recently transitioned to outpatient medicine and primary care Internal Medicine to gain this valuable perspective and experience.
