About David Mattiello
As a dedicated tax professional with KPMG’s High-Volume Trust Tax practice, I specialize in the treatment and preparation of various business, trust, nonprofits, and tax exempt entities regarding their holdings and assets under management. I completed my undergraduate degrees in May of 2024, earning a Dual BSBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Rhode Island’s College of Business. I’m very excited to add to my professional credentials and build off of all I’ve worked through thus far, including being the first undergrad student to complete dual B.S. programs within the URI College of Business concurrently, in only 4 years. The lessons of dedication, discipline, and fortitude learned through the grueling work load of 6-7 high level finance/accounting courses per semester are irreplaceable and extremely valuable to me personally. Especially as a tax preparer approaching tax season as a first year associate. With a commitment to professional growth, I\'ve earned recognition through the CFA Institute University Affiliation Scholarship and have been honored with a citation from the RI House of Representatives. I am actively preparing for my CPA and CFA licenses while undertaking a pivotal role at KPMG. My experience includes preparing complex tax returns, handling fiduciary account transactions, and collaborating with IRS analysts.During my internship at Fidelity Investments, I honed my skills in investment solutions and portfolio management, furthering my understanding of finance in the investment sector.I am passionate about leveraging my knowledge in accounting and finance to help clients achieve their financial goals while continually expanding my expertise in the tax field.
