Responsibilities include- To effectively manage the peri-operative anaesthetic/recovery process across relevant functions - To ensure our patients (adults and paediatrics) experience quality care in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment- To ensure that the patient management process occurs across the continuum of care- Contribute to the performance review mechanisms and ensure a safe working environment- To ensure cost effective utilisation of resources by employing appropriate time management processes- To participate in the collection of clinical data- To ensure infection control guidelines are maintained- Ensure that patient clinical pathway is observed and updated as necessary- Regularly review, develop and evaluate peri-operative anaesthetic and ensures documentation compliance is of a high standard- Ensure that patient co-ordination and throughput is organised with minimal clinical indicators/incidents and improvements made as required- To ensure that accidents and incidents such as break down of procedures are documented and reported to the unit manager within appropriate timeframes-To rectify hazards within your control and inform the unit manager of hazards for which the controls and measures are outside of your authority- To plan, manage and execute my own professional development plan with appropriate goals and objectives being set
