About David M. Harlan

I have practiced public accounting since 1994. Providing tax consulting and compliance services to public and private companies in the manufacturing and distribution, energy, and real estate industries. Areas of focus have been tax provisions (ASC 740) for public and private companies as well as those in the IPO process. I have also been involved in addressing issues related to mergers and acquisitions, such as stock vs. assets, carryover of tax attributes, and limitations on tax attributes. In addition, I have been involved in cost segregation studies, transfer pricing studies, and repair and maintenance projects. Other experience also includes issues related to stock basis, earnings, and profits for corporate distributions; foreign and domestic entity classification issues; and transaction structuring issues. I have spoken about tax issues to various audiences, and have taught Corporate Tax at the University of North Texas
