ABOUT DAVID LIVERMORE

I am a highly motivated Chartered engineering professional who holds a Masters Degree (MSc) in Technical Safety and Risk Management and a further Masters in Human Factors and Ergonomics (both highly regarded in the safety industry). In addition to this strong academic foundation, I have over 10 years’ applied engineering experience in the Oil & Gas, renewables and petrochemical industries. I have undertaken the role of Lead Technical Safety (TS) engineer overseeing other discipline engineers for a range of large and small scale green and brownfield projects through all engineering design phases (from Appraise to Detail Design/ Construction) as well as supported operations teams within the North Sea (in both U.K and Norway) and abroad. Furthering this, I have gained significant exposure to the project management and commercial aspects associated with projects within high hazard industries. With this engineering background and experience, I have developed an in depth knowledge on the tools and techniques required to assess technical safety issues (including those associated with human and socio-economic causes) and have a proven track record of applying these appropriately and effectively.
