Principal economic development point of contact for Cabell and Wayne Counties, West Virginia. Responsibilities include: The administration of the office and the supervision of at least two employees; The attraction of new companies to the Huntington area and the expansion and retention of existing companies; Responsible for developing an agenda for monthly Executive Committee meetings and overseeing the preparation of financial statements for review by the Executive Committee; Develop an annual marketing plan and strategic plan for the organization; Participate and assist in fund raising from private and public sources for the organization; Develop strong working relationships with organizations that can assist the organization in achieving its goals i.e. West Virginia Development Office, Huntington Chamber, Marshall University and others; Responsible for managing the financial accounts of the organization including preparation of monthly financials statements and the approval of expenses of the organization within an annual budget that has been approved by the Executive Committee; Market Cabell and Wayne Counties to prospective companies interested in locating new facilities and creating jobs; Inform the public of activities of HADCO and serve as the organization spokesperson; Develop financing packages for companies considering the area for new investment; Responsible for property management of the sites and buildings owned by the Huntington Industrial Corporation and HADCO; and Work to develop new sites and buildings to accommodate new investment and jobs.
