As Director and Decarbonisation Lead for Property & Buildings I am delighted to announce my exciting new role has two key functions, namely;1. To focus on delivering holistic engineering solutions for clients which reduce carbon emissions from designs in addition to broader sustainability goals2. UK-wide role to support delivery of WSP’s commitment to a 50% reduction in the total carbon footprint of all our Property and Building projects by 2030This challenging role will see me working closely with colleagues from every discipline to ensure a holistic approach to design is undertaken in delivering embodied and operational carbon reductions.WSP UK recently joined the UK Governments “Race to Zero” initiative alongside the SteelZero declaration which aims to transition to specifying 100% net zero steel by 2050.

I am the Net Zero lead in the Property & Buildings Group with responsibility for the development of the strategy, and implementation of the WSP action plan to halve the total carbon in our projects by 2030. My passion stems from a deep-seated desire to rapidly transform the industry into the low carbon future required in response to the climate emergency, whilst also enhancing the quality of the environment for all to thrive.Additional positions include;Chair of the WSP Global Property & Buildings Decarbonisation networkMember of the WSP UK Net Zero Carbon Steering Group Member of the WSP Global Climate Action Network
