Responsible for the development of evidence-based and innovative STEM curriculum and programs, evaluation and implementation of informal STEM learning methodologies and policies, and building partnerships that strengthen STEM learning in schools, homes, and throughout the community of San Diego.With a racial equity lens focused on building support for STEM education and career opportunities, my duties include: Lead and support teams responsible for programs which support and grow local STEM learning ecosystems, connecting scientists with the public, and developing deep relationships with neighborhoods across the county. Support the growth and development of direct and indirect reports while creating a workplace culture where everyone is valued. Grow the impact of all departmental efforts through program innovation and development in line with organizational strategy. Ensure that all programmatic efforts meet the needs of partner communities through regular evaluation and review. Ensure that all programmatic efforts are administratively sound and financially sustainable through budget development, management, and revenue generation through fee-based programs and grant supported projects. Work collaboratively with other Senior Leadership staff to advance organizational goals and cross-departmental priorities.
