ABOUT DAVID KINGDOM

Starting my career in the 70\'s I originally concentrated on transportation design at British Rail and Deutsche Bundesbahn before joining the private sector in 1985 (Fitzroy Robinson) and then Abbey Hanson Rowe, the predecessor to Aedas in 1987. I became a partner in 1992. It was in the private sector that I expanded my experience to include corporate HQ\'s, commercial, retail, industrial, pharmaceutical, residential and mixed use schemes. After completing a PG Dip in Construction Law and Arbitration I also specialised in Dispute Resolution, de risking construction contracts and construction law. After nearly 25years responsible for the business\'s Global Transport business and responsibility for South Asia I left Aedas in 2012 and started my own Guernsey registered business \'Kingdom Architects + Planners with associates in UK, Italy, USA, Gulf States, India and Pakistan I am also a past board member of the British Aviation Group. My fellow business associates include architects and masterplanners, structural, civil and seismic engineers, project managers, specialist golf and sports facility designers and specialist aviation baggage and systems designers. Specialties: Transportation, Commercial, Resort, Retail, hospitality and Pharmaceutical Design, masterplanning and Project Management. But in early 2020, I gave all of that rat race stuff up and relax a little. I now live between the UK and Italy and enjoy a Non Exec role supporting a Neapolitan Multi Disciplinary Design consultancy in expanding it\'s reach and diversity. I now choose to provide support or lead on projects be they large or small on a purely freelance consultancy basis as and when an opportunity lights my fire.
