ABOUT DAVID KIMM

A highly accomplished, multi-skilled executive, David Kimm brings deep expertise and a holistic approach to finance, risk, compliance, and audit functions. With comprehensive knowledge of financial services organizations, he’s implemented practices that optimize business performance and fulfill SEC and regulatory requirements. Repeatedly sought to build organizations from scratch, David’s presided over the full spectrum of operational, financial, risk and business management responsibilities.David spent the first 8 years of his career in the trenches— literally and figuratively—serving in the US Army and as a Staff Officer at the Pentagon. Upon leaving the Army he transitioned to the financial services industry, beginning his career as a retail stockbroker where hands-on experience provided insight into a firm’s most critical relationships—those with its clients.Subsequently, David used this firsthand experience to inform better business decisions, and, while managing nearly every function within financial services firms, he’s remained focused on empowering his team to exceed client expectations.David’s next projects will benefit from a deep understanding of the complete business lifecycle, as well as his experience with the full scope of business operations and support functions. He’s worked in CRO, CFO, COO, and President positions, leveraging his unique perspectives to create value for all stakeholders. Moreover, 10 years’ experience interacting with the TD Ameritrade Board of Directors, and 5 years’ service on the Depository Trust and Clearing Corp. Board, has also honed his knowledge of the highest levels of corporate governance.David began laying the foundation for the client-and associate-first philosophy that has been his hallmark at the start of his career, and his vision for building cross-organizational functions and frameworks has a long record of success. He\'s excited to bring these solid executive skills to his next management or Board role.
