Responsibilities Include: • The operations, including the recruitment and hiring, of the Industry Affairs department. • Periodical reports and presentations to ABB\'s upper management pertaining to current industry activities and strategic planning. • Managing an annual budget of $1 million for department operations and capital. • Technically participate with both union (NECA) and non-union contractors (IEC) and the apprentice training programs (Electrical Training Alliance and IEC) at both the local and national level.• Actively participate with ABB\'s marketing associates and the product phase development process of new products including focus groups. • Market expansion based on the development of codes and standards. • Representing NEMA on the NFPA National Electrical Code (NEC) Correlating Committee and the National Electrical Code (NEC), Code Making Panel 12. • Educational training and presentations for the development of ABB products pertaining to electrical inspectors (IAEI) and electrical contractors (NECA and IEC). • Representing ABB on the National Electrical Manufacturers Associations (NEMA) Codes and Standards Committee and other NEMA Section and Technical Committees. • Actively participate on Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Policy Committees, Industry Advisory Council (IAC), and Standard Technical Panels (STP).• Technical sales support, including interpretation of the NEC, to all Regional Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, Distributors, Contractors, OEM’s and end users.
